The Economics major and minor are open to all undergraduates. The Ph.D. program has 120 students in residence and an entering class of 25.

The Econometric Society Announces 2020 Fellows
Congratulations to our newly elected fellows: Matthias Doepke and Alessandro Pavan!
Matthias Doepke's research deals with economic growth and development, political economy, and monetary economics. He has worked on theories of demographic change, family economics, the role of political and cultural change in economic development, and redistributional effects of inflation.
Alessandro Pavan's research concerns the analysis of the role of information in strategic situations of interest to both micro and macro economists. His research focuses on global games, the social value of information and coordination, mechanism design, matching, and two-sided markets.
